The River
The River Tweed is the second largest river in Scotland and one of the least polluted rivers in the UK. It boasts an internationally famous reputation as one of Europe’s great salmon rivers. The beat fishes well in most heights of water, a few years ago it was described as the most improved beat on the river and is now consistently one of the top 20 most prolific beats on the river. A few fish over 20lb are expected each season and a fish of 30lb was caught in recent years. There have also been sea trout of up to 19lb taken. Full details of annual catch records are available from the Selling Agents.
