Description

East Ord Farmhouse is an immaculately presented, four bedroom, detached, Grade II listed house located in the popular village of East Ord in a quiet yet accessible location close to the facilities of Berwick upon Tweed. The house has been comprehensively updated by the current owners and provides modern and spacious accommodation over three floors with mature gardens and a useful range of outbuildings. On the ground floor a lovely light garden room enjoys views to the front and leads on to two generous reception rooms. An inner hallway leads on to a downstairs shower room and a superb Callerton fitted kitchen with granite worktops, Aga, Quooker and Siemens integral appliances. A vestibule with external door to the rear courtyard leads on to a utility room with useful built-in cupboard storage and then on to a study which could also be used as a further bedroom if required. On the first floor the dual aspect master bedroom has the benefit of a generous en-suite shower room with walk-in shower and Villeroy and Boch fittings. Accessed from the landing are two further double bedrooms and a family bathroom with shower over bath, wc and wash hand basin. Stairs lead up to the second floor where there is a further double bedroom and a good sized fully floored out attic store.

There are well tended gardens to the front and to the rear of the outbuildings there is a large private lawned garden. Adjoining the rear of the farmhouse is a useful range of outbuildings including four stores and a double garage. The outbuildings and rear of the house are accessed by a large tarmacadam courtyard area with off street parking for a number of cars.

Available separately are two further ranges of farm buildings; a traditional range including part lofted hay shed and granary, two large storage buildings, two single garages, a former byre and former stables. Subject to planning these buildings could be suitable for conversion to residential or holiday cottage use or for storage or other purposes. In addition, there is a further range of more modern farm buildings, again available separately, with potential for alternative uses such as storage or alternatively for re-development. Further details of the farm buildings are available from the selling agents.
