Edward has wide experience of the residential property market in many of its different guises, from buying and renting London flats, country estates or cottages to investment portfolios for large developers.
Edward has been working in the residential property world for twenty years. He started in south west London in the 1990’s working for Douglas & Gordon and later Allsops. Relocating to Berwick in 2000 Edward set up Chesterton’s residential property arm in Newcastle, and then an estate agency with residential development and new homes office for King Sturge LLP. He has also bought and sold residential development sites on behalf of private clients and house builders across the North East and Scotland.
He has learnt from experience that it is vital never to lose sight of the basics. As an agent, he sees his job as selling his clients’ property for the best price in the prevailing market conditions, advising and guiding them through the property transaction. Every property is seen as important and each client is given a personal service with honest and realistic advice about the sales process, from initial market appraisal to preparing the property for viewings.
Living in the area Edward has a great interest in local history. If not helping look after his two children he may be found fishing, shooting or with his nose immersed in a history book.
