Since joining the firm in 2009, Jenn has gathered a wealth of experience in all types of rural and agricultural matters. Whilst taking a great interest in access rights and utility involvements, Jenn’s work at the Berwick office also encompasses basic payment, English stewardship, tenancy matters, estate management, valuations and land sales. Over the past two years she has found herself spending a great deal of time at wind farm sites acting for the Landowners interest during the construction phases.
Qualifying as a chartered surveyor in 2016, Jenn grew up on the family farm and originally studied agriculture at SAC Edinburgh, graduating in 2007. She now lives on a tenanted farm in rural North Northumberland, and finds that her background and practical knowledge of farming assists her in many aspects of her client’s work. Unusually, this also allows her to understand the Landlord-Tenant relationship from both sides. Outside of work, Jenn took the opportunity to travel extensively, especially spending time in New England, during 2008 and 2009, combining her passion for travelling and culture.
Jenn is an active member of the South of Scotland Border Valuers Association, and is studying towards her Central Association of Agricultural Valuers examinations.
When not at work she can usually be found somewhere in the vicinity on her road bike or attempting to train Clyde, her black Labrador puppy.
