Situated in the ground of Grade I Listed Belford Hall is the historic stable block which a number of years ago had been converted to become a terrace of dwellings.  This project is based in the end terrace property of the former stable block and is considerable in its extent.  The alteration and extension works first had to be approved by the Planning Authority as this site is in the grounds of a Listed building, in Listed garden ground and in a Conservation Area.  There were many considerations.

Edwin Thompson however achieved an approved design which increased the property footprint by 105% and have extended out the front and rear gable to form large open plan spaces, complemented by very high quality finishes.

Finishes include green oak framing, oak facings, Accoya windows and doors, a high quality kitchen and very substantial amounts of insulation to maximize thermal efficiency.

Edwin Thompson were appointed to undertake full Architectural Services, including design, obtaining statutory consents and Contract Administration works.
