Suzanne went to school in the Scottish Borders and returned to the area after completing her studies. She graduated in Economics from the University of Strathclyde before gaining an MSc in Research Methods and Human Geography from the University of Reading and then a PhD in Economics. Whilst undertaking her doctorate, Suzanne worked for the Department of Real Estate and Planning and tutored undergraduate Land Managements students in Property and Investment Economics. Suzanne holds the National Federation of Property Professionals Level 6 Technical Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management. Suzanne assists in the day to day running of the Residential Lettings Department.
Ashleigh joined Edwin Thompson in 2016 and has recently achieved the National Federation of Property Professionals Level 6 Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management. Ashleigh is responsible for the everyday running of the Galashiels Lettings Department. Her main duties includes pre-let valuations, dealing with enquiries, viewings and referencing applicants, producing tenancy agreements and handling deposit registrations. Ashleigh is also responsible for the management of over 60 properties and ensuring both our clients and tenants receive the best possible service.
Sue is originally from County Durham and moved to Cumbria in 2010. She has worked in Residential Lettings for over ten years, the last five in the Eden Valley area. She has invaluable experience in lettings management, and all tenancy related matters.
She joined the Team in 2015 and manages the residential rental properties in the Keswick Area.
A keen photographer who enjoys hill walking and sailing, which were some of the main reasons Sue moved to Cumbria to live.
Alex has been involved in many aspects of the Carlisle office over the years, currently assisting with Residential Lettings. She enjoys a varied and challenging role dealing direct with clients and tenants, handling enquiries, inspecting and advertising properties, arranging viewings, processing applications, preparing Tenancy documentation and dealing with any issues thereafter. Alex is also a key member of our team who is responsible for planning, organising and setting up our hospitality stands during the agricultural show season.
Coming from a farming family in Dumfriesshire, Alex joined Edwin Thompson in July 2006 after leaving school. At home she enjoys spending time with her horses, dogs and husband to be!
Scott is currently responsible for overseeing the management and marketing of a variety of residential lets throughout Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
His duties include pre-let valuation advice, expanding business, co-ordinating tenant referencing, tenancy agreement production and move-ins, managing routine property inspections, organising routine maintenance, handling check-outs and deposits. He is also actively involved in the arrears process and ensuring the administration of lets is maintained at a high standard. Thorough and efficient Scott is a good listener and therefore a good intermediary for landlords and tenants. He ensures his clients’ interests are well protected and aims to anticipate a problem before it can become a conflict.
Scott joined the firm in 2007 and has built up an excellent knowledge of the local rental market. He prides himself in offering best advice and practice.
